Dyls pulls it off...again!
For
the 2nd consecutive year, Northampton Saints captain, Dylan Hartley,
has become the ‘Man of the Mo … ment’; spearheading the most
successful Movember campaign of the Aviva Premiership Rugby camp and
raising £28,326 with his #FrontMoUnion
Ranking
4th on the UK national leader board for Movember team fundraising, it
is certainly an achievement to be pleased with and proud of and of
course he had help from all quarters along the way.
One
person in particular springs to mind; 12 year old William Heath of
Northampton was tireless in his creativity for the cause and as well
as being #FrontMoUnion
top fundraiser, has made
the national newspapers coupled with an appearance on ‘Rugby
Tonight’ on BT Sport.
William
pictured with his granddad, Robin Wickham, who sadly died of
pancreatic cancer in February. William was determined to raise money
for the campaign in honour of his granddad.
The
fact he was too young to grow his own ‘tache was no deterrent and
he demonstrated what an advantage it could be. Here are some shots
demonstrating the fun he had and gave to others, raising funds in
memory of the man he was so close to.
‘My Motivation
In
February my Pappa died, I really miss him and want to do something
good to help people. I celebrate my 12th Birthday on the first day of
Movember. I am going to "man up" and help to change the
face of men's health. I accept that at the age of 12 growing my first
Mo could be a problem - but I have a plan!
